What is Aeration and how does it help?

Aeration is like giving your lawn a big breath of fresh air! We poke small holes in the soil to let water, nutrients, and oxygen reach the roots. This helps your grass grow stronger, thicker, and healthier. It’s especially helpful if your lawn feels compacted or a little tired. Think of it as a spa day for your lawn!

When should I get my sprinklers fired up?

Spring is the perfect time! Once the freezing temps are behind us—usually around late April or early May—it’s safe to start your sprinkler system. This ensures your lawn gets a healthy drink just as it starts to wake up from winter. We can help with a full start-up and diagnostic to make sure everything’s running perfectly!

OVERseeding? What’s OverSeeding?

Overseeding is basically planting fresh grass seed right over your existing lawn to fill in bare spots and keep it thick and lush. It’s like giving your lawn a little extra love and reinforcement! The best time to overseed is in the fall, so the new grass has time to grow strong before the next season.

When Should I blow out my sprinklers?

Before the first hard freeze—usually mid to late fall—is the time to blow out your sprinklers. This clears out water and prevents the pipes from freezing and cracking during the winter. Trust us, it’s way easier (and cheaper!) than dealing with burst pipes in the spring!

What is weed and feed and is it toxic?

Weed and feed is a two-in-one lawn treatment—it feeds your grass while getting rid of pesky weeds. As for toxicity, most products are safe when applied correctly. Just keep kids and pets off the lawn for a bit until it dries, and you’ll be good to go! We also offer eco-friendly options if you want a more natural approach.

WHat is the difference between organic and inorganic fertilizer?

Organic Fertilizer:
Think of this as the "green" option! Organic fertilizers come from natural sources like compost, manure, or plant-based materials. They work slowly, releasing nutrients over time and improving soil health. They’re great for long-term lawn care and are eco-friendly, helping to nourish your soil for healthier grass.

Inorganic Fertilizer:
This is the fast-acting choice! Inorganic fertilizers are made from synthetic chemicals or minerals and provide nutrients to your lawn quickly. They’re great when you need fast results, but they don’t improve soil health as much as organic fertilizers do. They can also be more likely to leach away, so you need to be careful not to overdo it.
